     Twinge surfaced from his chest; his hand did not suffice for proper protection from the environment. The blood trickled from in between his fingers, a small cough– then another, until he’d slowly trip up and need to reach out a hand in order to catch his weight, oh the sounds of agony that escaped his lips.

                          “Agh–!”

     Oh how he could recall the heavy thumping of his desolate heart.
